Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele are engaged and we’re so happy for them

Is anything better than two extremely funny people finding love? We don’t think so.

Yesterday, comedian and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Chelsea Peretti announced via Twitter that longtime boyfriend Jordan Peele, of Key & Peele fame, proposed to her over the Thanksgiving holiday.

To which Peele responded with the most romantic of emojis:

The pair began dating in March 2013. According to reports, they first connected on Twitter with Peele offering Peretti praise for her web series, which get this, is called All My Exes. From there, it was only a matter of time before their mutual friend, funnyman Andy Samberg, did a little in-person matchmaking and the two hit it off.

Still, they decided to keep things under wraps for a while and didn’t appear as a couple on the red carpet until nearly a year-and-a-half after they started dating, turning heads at the Comedy Central Creative Arts Emmy party. Accordingly, some people are probably surprised by the news that they were dating at all.

But for those who knew, many of them folks in the comedy world, congratulations are already pouring in with Peretti’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-star Melissa Fumero getting in on the lovefest as well as a few other funny people.

And no Peretti/Peele engagement would be complete without congratulations from brother Jonah Peretti, founder of BuzzFeed, who also go into on the emoji game:

Let’s just say this is going to be the most Internet-y wedding ever. Congratulations!
