Vans upgraded their classic checkerboard slip-ons, and they’re giving us Spice Girls vibes
The checkerboard Vans slip-on is iconic: The more you wear them, the better they look. Plus, they absolutely go with everything. Though we totally advise owning a pair of the originals, we can’t help but love when Vans blesses their classics a remix. This time, Vans has given their checkerboard slip-on the Spice Girl treatment with a nice, chunky platform sole.
Also available in solid black, the platform Vans slip-on is just begging to be paired with cropped trousers, floral slip dresses, and rompers. If you’re a sneaker person who still likes a shoe with a little height from time to time, or if you’re a heels person in the market for girly summer kicks, or somewhere in the middle — you’re gonna love these.
The platform checkerboard Vans slip-on is available right now for $55 on the Vans website.
This isn’t the first Vans sneaker to get a fashionable upgrade either. The Vans Old Skool shoe has a platform version for $65.
And there’s a Vans Authentic platform sneaker for $55.
