Charli XCX’s “After The Afterparty” is the post-Halloween weekend anthem you need

British-born singer Charli XCX just released the “After the Afterparty” video and it’s EVERYTHING.

Now, given that Halloween is today, most people will have done their spooky partying over the weekend. We know for sure we saw hundreds (maybe thousands) of amazing costumes over the weekend, not to mention popstars like Charli XCX and her EPIC see-through red dress and customary devil horns.

However, for Charli XCX, the scary weekend party antics were just the beginning.

Joining up with rapper Lil Yachty, Charli shared her new song, the undead “After The Afterparty,” on Friday.

Like Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop,” the song is a low-key party anthem complete with a cutesy piano melody and popping drum machines.

What’s more, Charli just shared the EPIC video and it’s a glittery zombie extravaganza.

The visuals are filled with flesh-eating (party)monsters dressed in pastels and neons and it’s lit AF.

Just look at this guy getting his feast on…

Charli looks EPIC in her red two-piece and she rocks that zombie walk.

Charli’s crimped hair is EVERYTHING.

The track is a total party stomper about staying up past 4am, blasting RiRi (it’s a well known fact that no party is good without loads of Rihanna), getting glitter in your underwear (we relate, tbh), and there’s even a shoutout to the late, great Whitney Houston.

Also, we’re totally obsessed with all of Charli’s lewks.

The track is the first taste from Charli’s upcoming third yet-to-be-titled album, which is due for release next year. Speaking to Beats 1 about “After The Afterparty,” Charli explained the song came was born during a songwriting session with friends, but was surprised that Lil Yachty wanted to be involved.

"I'm such a fan of his. I hit him up on the internet and he hit me back. He was like, 'I love your album Sucker.' And I was like, 'Woah that's cool because I, like, hate that album now. So it's cool that he likes it,'" she said. "It was weird, the first time we actually met was on the video when he randomly enters through a doorway...He's really cool. We actually bonded over Panic! at the Disco."

The track is the first new music from Charli since her Vroom Vroom EP, which she released via her own record label of the same name in collaboration with PC Music’s SOPHIE, who also features on “After the Afterparty.”
