Channing Tatum played the cruelest joke on wife Jenna Dewan right before he proposed
Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan seem like a fun couple. They are always dancing at awards shows and sometimes Tatum posts saucy pics of Dewan on Instagram. They seem spicy and happy.
Unfortunately, Tatum almost ruined the whole thing when he thought a marriage proposal would be a good time to play a prank on his then-girlfriend Dewan.
Oh boy.
Tatum told the story to Nick Grimshaw on his BBC Radio 1 show.
“When I proposed to my wife I did something pretty cruel because I thought she was on to me. I basically told her I never wanted to get married to try to throw her off, Channing said. “I told her, ‘I don’t believe in the institution of marriage and I don’t think I ever want to get married.’ She basically broke down crying.
“I thought, ‘This is not going well at all,’ so I had to propose to her sooner rather than later,” he added.
Uh, what? We have so many feels for Dewan right now. Who does that!?!?
Fortunately, it all worked out because the couple has been married for eight years. The Dewan-Tatums recently celebrated their anniversary in July at a wilderness camp.
“I call [Channing] Bear Grylls. He really loves being outdoors, in nature,” Dewan revealed last month during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan. “So, we went on a wilderness camp with our daughter, which is in the middle of nowhere in Michigan. And I can’t even tell you where it was because that’s part of the deal. If you tell anyone, you can never come back. There’s no address, there’s no WiFi, there’s no service. There’s, like, one little internet cabin.”
Sounds romantic? Hey, whatever works!
