Be still our hearts, Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are doing a movie-musical together

Best. News. Ever: Ladies, our universal sex symbol Channing Tatum and universal high school crush Joseph Gordon-Levitt are teaming up for a movie musical. I couldn’t be happier if it were raining actual kittens.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is based on an original idea by Gordon-Levitt and screenwriter Michael Bacall. While details are scarce, the film will apparently be an R-rated adventure about two pilots. Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in pilots uniforms? Yes, please!

Those of us familiar with the two hunks shouldn’t be surprised by this news. Tatum’s affinity (and flat-out-ability) for singing and dancing has never been a secret. After all, his break-out role was as Tyler Gage in Step Up before going on to knock our socks off in Magic Mike.

This weekend, Tatum’s latest film Hail, Caesar! premieres, in which, if the trailers are any indication, we see him not only tap dance, but sing. (I already have my tickets.)

Meanwhile, Gordon-Levitt is also one heck of a smooth dancer and singer– not to mention quite the lip-sync wunderkind. Anyone who doubts Gordon-Levitt’s ability to dance just needs rewatch  500 Days of Summer:
