Channing Tatum’s interview with an autistic reporter might be the sweetest thing ever

It seems like Channing Tatum has done it all, but appearing on the web series Speechless with Carly Fleischmann was definitely a first — for both of them. Canadian Carly Fleischmann is a 21-year-old web personality who was diagnosed with autism at a young age, according to People. The host, who can only communicate through a keyboard, kicked off the first episode of her online talk show on Friday with perhaps the best guest ever, and we’re not sure which one of them was funnier.

Carly got the interview started by introducing the Magic Mike star the way any of us would:

She then asked Channing if he’d ever date a 21-year-old with autism. “Yes,” he replied. “If I got permission from my wife.”

“All right I’ve got my lawyers working on your divorce papers as we speak!” Carly responded, cracking Channing up.

Then, she got serious, interviewing the actor about everything from his family life to his days at a stripper, boldly asking the questions we’ve always wanted to ask but have been too scared.

She also had Channing participate in some challenges.

“One of the hardest and scariest moments of my life is sitting next to you and waiting to find out if my dream of being a talk show host is going to turn into a reality,” she explained. “Channing, underneath your seat are two shoe boxes marked Exhibit 1 and Exhibit 2. In these two boxes are your worst fears. Since I am facing mine, I want you to meet yours. Pick one box and let’s face our fears together.”

The box he picked contained a terrifying doll, but Carly’s courage inspired him, and he put it on display for everyone to see.

“Thank you, Channing, for this once in a lifetime interview,” Carly concluded at the end of the seven-minute episode. “My bags are at your house and I’m ready to move in!”
