This champagne vending machine is what we all need in our office break room
You can now get bubbly at the push of a button, courtesy of a high-tech vending machine that sells champagne instead of candy and junk food.
The vending machine, located in the Sky Bar at Las Vegas’ Mandarin Oriental Hotel, sells mini bottles of Moët & Chandon (as well as tiny champagne flutes!). It is the first public champagne vending machine in the United States.
To help comply with American liquor laws, customers must purchase a vending machine coin from the hotel’s front desk in order to use the machine. The coin costs $20, and customers must present their ID to prove they’re over 21.
"It’s expertly engineered so champagne bottles are dispensed without having been shaken by delivery—which means no surprise champagne bursts upon opening," writes Travel & Leisure.
We’re sold. Anyone else want to figure out how to get one for our house? A quiet night in won’t ever be the same.
