Celine Dion reacting to this couple’s engagement is the most relatable thing on the planet
We’ve seen it so many times in movies and on TV that it almost feels like it happens all the time, but it’s rare that people *actually* get engaged in super public places. That’s why we can’t get enough of Celine Dion’s reaction when two fans got engaged during a meet and greet with her.
It’s fair to say that we pretty much learned everything that we know from Celine Dion. The star not only gives us major fashion goals (seriously, this Titanic sweatshirt is EVERYTHING), but she’s also got a new song planned for the upcoming live-action remake Beauty and the Beast (Dion was responsible for the single version of “Tale As Old As Time,” which has been re-recorded for the new movie by Ariana Grande and John Legend).

However, now Celine Dion has has proven that she’s just like all of us after witnessing a couple’s engagement.
Now, deep down, the following photos actually have a super sweet story. According to Buzzfeed News, Las Vegas residents Nick Janevski and Austin McMillan (both 24) had managed to bag their way into a meet and greet with Dion herself. McMillan, who told Buzzfeed that she was a huge fan of the singer thanks to her mom, said that “My Heart Will Go On” had become her and Janevski’s song, and obvs she was pretty darn excited to meet Dion. However, her partner had another surprise up his sleeve.
During the meet and greet, in which they were supposed to have around 30 seconds with Dion, Janevski got down on one knee and asked McMillan to marry him. The best thing about this, however, is just how surprised Celine Dion is by the whole thing.

“I didn’t even say yes… for like two whole minutes I was just shocked," McMillan told Buzzfeed. "I just looked at Celine Dion and then we both looked at him … I just kissed him.

According to the couple, Celine asked them whether she should “even be here,” before wishing them a happy and long marriage.
“I hope you have a long and happy marriage, just like I did with my husband,” Dion reportedly told the couple.
Awww, we totally wish Nick Janevski and Austin McMillan all the happiness in the world, and hope they manage to pay homage to Dion at some point during their nuptials.
Meanwhile last month, Celine Dion paid an emotional tribute to her late husband, René Angélil, who passed away last year after a long history with throat cancer. The couple were married for 21 years and shared three children: René-Charles, 16, and 6-year-old-twins Nelson and Eddy.
