While makeup is an amazing tool that can hide blemishes and make us feel glam, sometimes we forget that we can be quite beautiful without it. That’s why it’s a great thing that some of our ultimate favorite celebrities have embraced makeup-free selfies in recent years — it’s a small reminder that we are amazing humans, and that we are beautiful simply in our own skin! And if, at the end of the day you decide there is no way you’re not wearing makeup, that’s totally fine to — you do YOU, boo.

Here are a few of our ultimate favorite selfies of celebrities that decided to “bare all.”

1. Lady Gaga

Gaga looks absolutely stunning, fresh out of bed. She’s posted a few no-makeup selfies on her account, obviously knowing she’s beautiful both with and without makeup.

2. Adriana Lima

Adriana gets real on her account a lot — in fact, once she posted a selfie she took after multiple flights, tired and with a bad cold, proving that models work just as hard as other professions. Here’s a shot of her makeup-free, right before bed.

3. Salma Hayek

Salma posted this stunner a few weeks ago, and it’ll likely inspire you to find your own wonderful signs of spring for your next photoshoot.

4. Laverne Cox

Need another reason to love Laverne Cox? She knows that one of the best ways to love your skin is to give it a break every once in awhile. This is one of the many makeup-free selfies she’s shared recently.

5. Gigi Hadid

Gigi is also fond of how she looks sans makeup, often posting fresh-faced pictures. Can you blame her?

6. Heidi Klum

Our girl Heidi showed us her clean slate, pre-makeup. And by doing so, she revealed how much of a natural beauty she truly is.

7. Lorde

She has an incredible voice, but hey — at the end of the day, she’s just a teenager trying to keep it real. Lorde posted this fantastic bedtime photo that shows her makeup-free, and rocking some acne cream.

8. Rihanna

When Rihanna gets bored, she snaps some selfies. We love Rihanna, and especially love the fact that she has no problem sharing candid moments like this.

9. Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth loves all-things natural, and has posted numerous makeup-free selfies on her account. Earlier this year, she admitted in an interview with Into The Gloss that she’s not too good with putting on her own makeup, so it’s refreshing to know she’d rather skip the tough stuff and go out as-is.

10. Drew Barrymore

Everything about this photo is incredible. Drew looks totally radiant as she’s soaking up some sun to celebrate her 40th birthday. It’s hard not to look at this photo, smile, and dream of summer.

11. Zooey Deschanel

Zooey’s facial expression pretty much sums up all of us on a Sunday morning before the coffee is ready. Her adorable no-makeup photo is taken the old fashioned way, using a mirror to fit more self into the selfie.

12. Laura Prepon

So, this might not be a standard selfie (unless Laura is using a selfie stick) but it’s still an incredible shot of one of our favorite Orange Is The New Black stars makeup-free. As always, Laura looks totally beautiful.
