Glossier’s new “Lidstar” eyeshadow debuted at the 2018 Oscars, and these are the celebs wearing it
With awards season coming to a close, Glossier pulled out one last stop, by revealing its new LidStar Liquid Eyeshadow. While everyone showed up to the 2018 Oscars red carpet wearing statement-making ensembles, the brand’s new metallic shadow stole the show.
Celebs including Tiffany Haddish, Greta Gerwig, and Allison Janney showed up at the 2018 Oscars wearing the gorgeous new shadow before its official launch (though Beyoncé technically wore it first during the 2018 Grammys, in what looks like the rose gold shade). And soon, we’ll finally be able to get our hands on it, too. That’s right, beauty lovers. Glossier’s LidStar shadow is here.
Only Glossier could hypnotize us with swatches like this:
From the Instagram swatches in the video above, it looks like the beauty brand is dropping five different eyeshadows. There’s a range of sultry purples, a forest green, and a holographic pink. Basically, there’s a little something for everyone, and Hollywood’s biggest stars put their own spin on the shadows.
Tiffany Haddish
Celebrity makeup artist Dionne Wynn mixed the “Herb” and “Moon” LidStar shadows to create Tifanny’s regal look.
Greta Gerwig
Greta Gerwig’s makeup artist, Jenn Streicher, used three different shades on the Lady Bird director’s lids. She stunned in “Moon,” “Slip” and “Cub.”
Allison Janney
Celebrity makeup artist, Collier Strong, used the “Moon” and “Fawn” shadows to create the Mom star’s beauty look.
Salma Hayek
Makeup artist Matthew Van Leeuwen not only used Lidstar in “Slip” on Salma, but also applied Glossier Cloud Paint in “Beam” and Glossier Haloscope in “Quartz” to her cheeks.
