From Bella Hadid to Khloe and Kim Kardashian, here are the stars who influence how we eat.

From Keto to Paleo and intermittent fasting, people are often willing to try anything when it comes to staying healthy.

Celebs are typically at the forefront of these diet trends, with some recently even turning to diabetes drugs like Ozempic to shed unwanted pounds. And brands like Weight Watchers famously use spokespeople with star power for their campaigns, including Ciara, Cat & Nat, and Daphne Oz.

According to YouGov, vowing to improve one’s physical health was the number one New Year’s resolution in 2023, with 20 percent of people hoping to achieve this goal.

Usually, that starts with diet and exercise. So in a diet obsessed culture, it’s no surprise, we’re turning to celebs for some inspo. With that in mind, the team at TotalShape compiled data from various websites and search data, and conducted a survey to pinpoint the stars whose diets we are following the most closely.

Here are twelve celebs who have sparked the most diet trends.

1. Bella Hadid

For a model like Bella Hadidit pays to stay in shape. That’s likely why she’s the most influential celebrity in dieting, with 3,400 searches in one month for “Bella Hadid diet.”

She is said to follow a low-carb, high-protein diet, and doesn’t restrict herself of anything. The model also reportedly boxes and does a lot of stretching, to stay fit.

2. Khloe Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian recently shed a significant amount of weight (fifty pounds in six months!), reportedly from working out several times a day. We thought she looked great both then and now!

But, her recent extreme weight loss is likely what caused her to be the second most influential celeb in dieting, with 3,300 searches in one month.

3. Kate Middleton

The Princess of Wales is always looking trim and fit, even after birthing three kids—so that’s likely why she comes in third on the list, with 2,700 searches.

The 40-year-old has said she eats a regular diet of mostly plant-based and raw foods to maintain her physique.

4. Taylor Swift

Besides talking about her music and love life, we also love to learn about T-Swift’s diet regimen. According to StyleCraze, the “Lavender Haze” singer regularly drinks ten glasses of water per day, sticks to mainly salads, sandwiches, and yogurt, and avoids sugary drinks.

5. Beyoncé

This diva recently broke records as the artist with the most Grammy wins of all time, but curiosity about her diet is also breaking records. Searches for “Beyoncé diet” amassed 2,200 in one month.

She has been known to go to extreme measures to lose weight for roles, including a reported “master cleanse” in 2006 in which she only drank a concoction of lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper for ten days.

The Queen Bey also reportedly promotes veganism, and has cut out bread, carbs, dairy, meat, sugar, and alcohol from her diet in the past. While this is not sustainable nor healthy for most people, hers might be one you want to skip.

6. Kim Kardashian

Not surprisingly, people are also very interested in what the SKIMS’ founder eats. She famously said she lost sixteen pounds in three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s dress by cutting out all sugar and carbs and eating only veggies and protein.

Other celebs who made the list? Tom Brady, Kendall Jenner, Serena Williams, Meghan Markle, Selena Gomez, and Lizzo

In any event, if you’re planning to try these celeb’s diets or any new diet plan, be sure to do your research and speak to your doctor or a nutritionist to ensure you’re properly getting all the nutrients your body needs.
