We adore Ellie Kemper's response to her "greatest role" at the SAG Awards
Feeling down? Need something to lift you up? Then just pay attention to Ellie Kemper at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. While this bubbly actress is incredible and fun pretty much constantly, her overwhelming joy will — without a doubt — put a smile on your face.
For example, Kemper, who looked totally gorgeous in navy blue, helped liven up the intro.
While most of us first met her while she was playing the role of Erin Hannon on The Office, she really got a chance to shine in the Netflix original series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Starring alongside Tituss Burgess, Kimmy pretty much reminds us that there’s still some innocence in this world.
It’s important to know that Kemper is also a new mother. Last year, she gave birth to a baby boy — and hilariously enough, Burgess was the first to share the news.
In the SAG opener, Kemper was asked about her greatest role. So you figured she’d shower her kid with loving words, right? Well…
Hey — to be fair, she got the Kimmy Schmidt role first. And it did get her “free dinner.” While Jeff Bridges, Sterling K. Brown, and Kerry Washington nailed their parts, Kemper really got the most chuckles.
We can’t get over her adorable laugh at the end. Ellie Kemper is definitely someone we wish we had the chance to hang out with.
In late September of last year, Kemper revealed that they were in the midst of starting up production for the show’s third season. While she couldn’t reveal much in her brief red carpet interview with TVLine, she did mention that “more singing” would be involved.
No matter what, we definitely can’t wait — Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is definitely a show worth binging on.
