Celebrity endorsements are always a good thing when important topics are involved. While we should always do the research and vote for who we believe would be best for the job, sometimes celebrities help get the conversation started — which is important this November, when we’ll be voting Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump into office. Really, any talk about the upcoming election is good, as we truly have the power to make change in the world, and make our voices heard.

Shailene Woodley

was quite the active Bernie Sanders supporter, but has no problem with backing Hillary Clinton — that is, if she hones in on one very important issue.

She also mentioned that in this day and age, anyone can be an investigative journalist, and Millennials like the idea of holding both politicians and the government accountable. From there, she brings up a cause near and dear to her heart — the Dakota Access oil pipeline in North Dakota, which was being built on a North American reservation. While Obama recently halted construction, Woodley believes that the issue would be perfect for Hillary and her platforms.

Sounds like a good plan to us. And, we should trust Woodley’s words on this matter — not only did she protest the pipeline herself, and spend time on the reservation, but she’s extremely well researched, and passionate about the causes she believes in.
