We LOVE Serena Williams, from her being basically our #EverythingGoals to her continual positive vibes. She’s a star in her own right, and we’re so happy to finally have something in common with her, because we all know her athleticism is unmatched. Lucky for us, she loves tacos, making her an official part of our squad.
Serena Williams talked to SELF about her eating habits, and shared that, just like us, she’s madly in love with tacos.
Sadly, though, she’s currently mourning tacos. “I’m cutting out corn for this month. Too much of it will kind of bloat you up, and I want to be svelte for the fall. It sucks because I love tacos,” she said, “but my motto is: I eat to live. I don’t live to eat.”
Oh Serena. We guess you don’t get to be a master of the fitness world without paying attention to the way you energize your body (though, contrary to popular belief, that doesn’t always mean under-eating!).
Don’t worry, Serena! We’ll eat enough tacos for the both of us.
The last thing we want is for there to be tacos in the world that go un-eaten! We’ll make the sacrifice for you, our queen. From the taco cleanse to these super yummy chickpea tacos, our obsession really has no bounds.
Luckily, Serena loves her body with or without tacos.
Earlier this year, she talked about her relationship with her body, saying, “I love my body, and I would never change anything about it.”
We love, love, love Serena, and have our fingers hardcore crossed that maybe, just maybe, we’ll one day enjoy tacos together. Ah, what a dream.
