Ryan Reynolds did a backflip in a room filled with toddlers
Even those who are impeccably trained might hesitate to try out a gymnastics stunt in front of children. But based on his confidence, Ryan Reynolds pulled off a backflip during a Toddler Tumble Time class that got caught on video. In his eyes, it was a dream come true.
The video was originally taken by trainer Don Saladino, who seemed impressed that Reynolds, who is 6’3″, made it look so flawless. He also noted that he worked with Reynolds to “prep him for one of his roles” — and based on the hashtags that Saladino used, we’re guessing it was probably the first Deadpool film.
According to Saladino’s account, he’s got a lot of experience with training “superheroes.” Since Reynolds retweeted it, he must have been happy with what he learned from his trainer.
We’re impressed. But, uh — probably won’t be inspired to try it at home.
While it looks like Reynolds is practicing in a gym filled with adequate padding, we’ve still got so many questions about the location. Since it’s seemingly a throwback, we’re guessing daughter James, who Reynolds and wife Blake Lively welcomed into the world in December of 2014, may have been a bit too young to partake in the toddler class. But it’d make a lot more sense for Deadpool 2, which is currently being filmed for a 2018 release.
In an interview with Men’s Health, Saladino expanded a bit more on Reynolds’ impressive capabilities.
No matter what, we think it’s pretty cool that James and Ines, his youngest, have such an athletic dad.
