Ruby Rose is all about the ink, but believe it or not, there was a time when the actress had barely any tattoos at all, and we have the photo to prove it.
On Thursday, the 30-year-old actress shared a hilarious throwback photo and revealed there was a time when she didn’t has as many tattoos as she does now. It seems like an unlikely scenario, but the Australian native hasn’t always had tattoo sleeves in addition to all of her other body art.
“Umm how do you guys find these 😂😬😳 #TBT to… Well.. Barely any tattoos and a very prominent blue streak of hair 😂 and no eyebrows 🙃 thank god they grew back!!” Rose wrote on the super old, throwback photo.
OMG, we can’t get over this look. Not only is Rose rocking blue in her hair, but there is only one visible sign of tattoos. Nowadays, the Orange is the New Black actress is iconic for her edgy look and tattooed appearance, but way back when she really did have little to no ink.
In fact, we did some digging and when Rose first hit the red carpet scene, she only had body art on right arm and on her chest. Her left arm was almost completely blank!
In both the photo above, from the Australian premiere of Quantum of Solace, and the pic below, at the launch party for Sean’s Kitchen at Star City in Australia (when she was an MTV VJ), you can see that Rose had yet to get into the serious tattoo game. She is also really young in these photos, circa 2008, so even her hair makes her unrecognizable.
In 2009, at the 51st TV Week Logie Awards located down under, the model began sporting a ‘do more similar to her current hairstyle and we’ve got to admit, it fits her SO much better. At this point she also starting showing off her sleek figure and funky style that we’ve come to expect from her.
While Rose looked adorable, and morphed into the gothic style queen that she is today beginning in the early ’00s, we’re happy she opted for more tattoos along the way. They just fit her so well.
In case, all these throwback photos are making you forget Rose’s signature arm candy, we’ve got some tatted-up pics below to refresh your memory.
