Nina Dobrev has some great advice for her “awkward” younger self, and it's relevant at every age
Now that we’re older and wiser, it feels nice to reflect back on our younger years. To think about the things we’d tell our younger, more insecure selves. Don’t give up on your dreams. Do actually go to class. Also, don’t let a dumb boy determine how you think about yourself. Though it’s sometimes hard to believe, celebrities also have awkward young versions of themselves they’d like to give a talking to. Former Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev recently revealed the things she’d love to tell her younger self.
Dobrev told ET this week about how she thought about her body as a teenager.
She also had some good tips for young Nina.
The actress has been scoring some major roles since leaving The Vampire Diaries back in 2015. By the end of 2017, she’ll have starred in three films, including xXx: Return of Xander Cage (with Vin Diesel), Crash Pad (with Domnhall Gleason), and Flatliners (with Ellen Page).
It seems safe to say that Dobrev has grown as an actress and a person since those younger days as a kid in Toronto, Ontario. She recently posed for People‘s “World’s Most Beautiful” feature wearing no makeup.
Dobrev’s candidness is a good reminder that being yourself is perhaps the greatest role of all. Too cheesy? Oh well, we’ll take it.
