We’ve been loving the Olympics updates on Twitter from our fave funny woman/Rio correspondent Leslie Jones, and now we’re psyched she’s made a new buddy on her adventure.

Oh, and it’s Matthew McConaughey.

He’s been spotted at multiple events, so it’s only fitting that the two meet up and hit the ground running.

Jones posted this video of herself with McConaughey, with the caption, “Best Olympics fans!!” It’s basically an adorable love letter to the USA.

“Team USA slay all day, that’s what we do, and we don’t play. It’s happening!” says Jones. McConaughey echoes her “It’s happening!” right at the end, and it’s magical.

Could this be the beginning of a beautiful friendship?

Apparently Jones posted her video shortly after swimming champion Michael Phelps won his 22nd gold medal (she called him, One of the greatest Olympians alive) — so this was definitely a moment for the history books.

We look forward to more enthusiastic videos from Leslie Jones, who is officially the greatest Olympics commentator alive.

And we can only hope for more Jones/McConaughey Tweets in the future…like, every day for the rest of our lives please. And if that doesn’t seem feasible then costarring in some kind of Olympic-themed buddy cop movie will also work for us.
