Lupita Nyong'o's Beyoncé story is making us cry happy tears
Most people are fans of Beyoncé, but have you ever wondered who Beyoncé fangirls over?
Well, it turns out that she’s a huge advocate of Lupita Nyong’o from 12 Years a Slave! And lo and behold, we just got wind from Vulture that the two stars met at the Met Ball in 2014, and of course, she relayed a great story to Jimmy Kimmel.
She then went on to ask, “What kind of world is this where Beyoncé is coming to introduce herself to me? Oh my goodness, it was amazing.”
It’s pretty easy to figure out why Beyoncé would want to meet Nyong’o, though…because she’s one of the most talented (Oscar-winning) actresses we’ve ever seen, and always portrays complex, interesting, and three-dimensional women.
This is where the story takes a funny/cringe-worthy turn.
Nyong’o’s friend — who was incredibly drunk — apparently insisted on taking a photo to capture the moment. As Nyong’o anticipated, the photo came out blurry, because her friend couldn’t hold the camera steady.
But then Queen Bey saved the day and posted THIS:
