Even though she hasn’t openly announced her pregnancy, Kylie Jenner thinks her “baby bump” was photoshopped in photos that surfaced online over the weekend. And while it’s become a they-said, she-said situation, we wouldn’t be surprised if people made questionable professional decisions in looking for confirmation from her.
The photos were originally posted on The Daily Mail, after being snapped by a site called X17 Online. In the photos, the reality star is wearing baggy clothing. According to X17 Online’s post, they claim that the photos were completely unaltered. “Guess what Twittersphere, cyberspace, Snapchatterers…they’re 100% REAL!” they stated. “No Photoshop, #nofilter, no additives, no preservatives — all organic and all REAL!”
In situations like this, we never know who to believe — but at the same time, we feel like Jenner’s news (or lack of news) should be all her own. While she’s a reality star who we’ve seen grow up, it’s also her body and — if she’s pregnant — her future son or daughter. She doesn’t owe anything to her fans.
But we can see why people are so invested in trying to spot baby bumps. Jenner is one of three Kardashian-Jenner family members who are said to be expecting — rumors suggest that Khloe Kardashian is also currently with child. (Khloe, like Kylie, has not publicly confirmed.) Even Ellen DeGeneres is trying to figure out whether or not the news is true, and she straight-up asked “Momager” Kris Jenner during a show appearance.
Kylie Jenner’s tweet about the alleged photoshopping had the specific images removed, but X17 knew which ones she was referring to.
Since pregnancy is a deeply personal experience for mothers, we can understand why the family might want to keep Kylie and Khloe’s news under wraps.
No matter what, we have a feeling that Jenner’s photos will be scrutinized for quite some time. We just hope that she stays happy and healthy, whether or not a little one is in the mix.
