When someone asks a kid what she wants to be when she grows up, often she says, “a doctor,” “a firefighter,” “a ballerina,” or “a mom.” It’s rare for a kid to want to dive into the world of criminal investigation.
But that’s exactly what Kim Kardashian has always wanted to do, and since her career took somewhat of a different path, she wants her kids to take over job goals.
And, you guys — one of the things is really surprising, and also really cool. She wanted to be a forensic investigator.
That’s right, someone who professionally works with police departments to solve crimes by scientifically investigating exactly what happened — including dealing with, you know, dead people.
“I’m gonna be that annoying, pushy mom and say I want to live vicariously through my daughter or son and have them be a forensic investigator,” Kardashian said.
She admits that she’s always been obsessed with crime shows (celebs: they’re just like us). Specifically, one real-life crime that happened very close to home for her.
“I’ve always been into the most morbid things,” she explained. “I was really nosy when my dad was working on the O.J. trial, and I would look through all his stuff, and I just wish I was in that field. It’s the only type of TV I really like to watch.”
So there you have it. Crime shows are Kardashian’s jam — and it actually makes a lot of sense.
