Kendall Jenner recently opened up about the “debilitating anxiety” that keeps her up at night. Jenner has been candid about her anxiety before, but in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she elaborated on why she wakes during the night with “full-on panic attacks.”

“I have such debilitating anxiety because of everything going on that I literally wake up in the middle of the night with full-on panic attacks,” the model told Harper’s Bazaar. “Where do I even start? Everything is so horrible, it’s hard to name one thing. I just think that the world needs so much love. I wish I had the power to send Cupid around the planet, as cheesy as that sounds. You go online and you see everyone saying the worst things to each other, and it’s hard to stay positive. It’s hard not to get eaten alive by all the negativity.”

She credits “the world” for her anxiety, but elsewhere in the interview, she seems to struggle to come to terms with her own highly public life.

The interview was conducted by Jenner’s good friend Cara Delevingne, which probably explains why Jenner was being so open.

Jenner previously wrote about her struggle with anxiety on her blog in 2017 and even spoke about her sleep paralysis and fear of flying during a 2016 episode of Keeping Up with The Kardashians. However, it seems that Jenner has found some coping strategies because last year she wrote on her blog: “[I] learned that it’s all mental, so I try to prevent anxiety attacks by bringing my mind somewhere else.”

Hopefully Jenner continues to get the help she needs, but we’re grateful for her transparency regarding her anxiety, which we know will help other individuals in a similar position feel less alone.
