Julia Louis-Dreyfus's “Veep" co-stars made the sweetest video to help her stay strong during chemo
Get you some friends like the kind Julia Louis-Dreyfus has. The actress revealed last month that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Today she is kicking chemo’s ass with some help from her funny and lovely friends.
Louis-Dreyfus’s Veep co-stars Tony Hale and Timothy Simons made this adorable “skit” to the tune of Katy Perry’s “Roar” to lift her spirits as she goes through chemo.
We’re crying a little bit because we just adore seeing the love that these two men have for Louis-Dreyfus.
In the clip, Hale and Simons lip sync to the uplifting Katy Perry song and yes, it’s silly, but it’s also unbearably sweet and moving.
We’re not the only ones reacting emotionally to the video.
And being the strong, resilient, and badass woman that she is, Louis-Dreyfus channeled that energy into her second round of chemo.
“Chemo #2: finito. We are NOT fucking around here. ‘I’ve got the eye of the tiger. The Fighter dancing through the fire cuz I am a champion and you’re going to hear me ROAR,'” the actress wrote on Instagram.
When Louis-Dreyfus was diagnosed, she announced it with a very poignant and political message.
She really does have the “most glorious group of supportive and caring friends.” She also has fans and admirers and we’re sending her all sorts of love.
