We love everything about the spectacular Hollywood couple that is John Legend and Chrissy Teigen: their hilarious social media exchanges, their beautiful family, the sweet things they always say about each other—basically their entire life together. But when Legend honored Teigen at the 2018 Glamour Women of the Year event on November 12th, well, it was enough to bring a tear to Legend’s eye…and ours.

When the time came to present Teigen with her Woman of the Year award, Legend shared with the crowd what he loves about his wife and emphasized the fact that now, the entire world loves her, too. He opened up about a time when Teigen felt uncomfortable and like she didn’t belong among other accomplished women, including Oprah, and the tears just started flowing.

And yes, of course Teigen made sure to let everyone know that these tears don’t come easily to Legend when she took the stage, saying, “John didn’t even cry when I was giving birth.”

Even though the emotional part of his speech took place at the very end, earlier on, Legend said a lot of other really sweet things about his wife, too: “Chrissy’s biggest impact may be the way she proves that just by being the person you are, you can make a difference,” he said. “Being who you are, unapologetically, you can make a difference.”

BRB, crying forever. Just when you think you can’t love a celebrity couple more, boom—something like this happens that proves true love is real. Long live Teigen and Legend. Luna and Miles are so lucky to have such awesome parents who care so much about each other.
