Jimmy Kimmel’s wife shared a photo of their baby son after heart surgery

In case you missed it, Jimmy Kimmel got extremely emotional in his opening monologue earlier this week while sharing a very personal story about how his son, Billy, was born with a congenital heart defect over the weekend. He walked viewers through the scary, step-by-step process of how it all went down, and how (thankfully!) it seems like Billy is going to be okay.

And now, Jimmy Kimmel’s wife has shared a photo of their son after his surgery. It’s both adorable and moving, and we’re so thrilled to see the little guy doing so well.

Take a look:

"I am thankful to love and be loved by these two brave guys. Both criers."

We love Molly’s simple (and funny) message of gratitude. And Jimmy also shared a sweet recent pic:

We cannot even begin to imagine how scary the past few days have been for the family, but we are SO glad that everyone is home safe.

Kimmel has used the experience to discuss the importance of health care and health insurance in general. In Monday night’s monologue, he said,

"If your baby is going to die and it doesn't have to, it shouldn't matter how much money you make. I think that's something that whether you're a Republican or a Democrat or something else, we all agree on that, right?"

He also praised Congress for increasing funding to the National Institute of Health this week by two billion dollars — despite the president’s proposed budget cuts of six billion.

We literally get teary eyed every time we view this video, and are sending Jimmy and the whole family so much love today!
