Here's why Josh Gad would never want to play Olaf on Broadway
Before he was LeFou, Josh Gad played Olaf in Frozen. But while we loved his work, he made it pretty clear that he wouldn’t want to play the sweet snowman for the Broadway play based around the film, which will officially be hitting the stage next year.
You might be wondering why — after all, Gad once admitted that being cast in Frozen was a dream come true for him, as he also grew up with classic Disney movies.
Plus, Gad is no stranger to the stage. He was part of the cast of The Book Of Mormon. But, his reason for bowing out makes a lot of sense.
Gad has two daughters — Isabella and Ava. So, it makes sense that he’d rather hang out with them than partake in the grueling schedule that a Broadway play would put him on. And we must admit — pajamas will always beat a heavy snowman costume.
While it’ll be strange to see someone else play the part, we have faith that they’ll channel their inner Josh Gad throughout every performance.
