Heidi Klum has long been a fashion icon, and for good reason. A bona fide super model who rose to fame as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, Klum has remained in the spotlight via the reality competition show Project Runway (fun fact: she’s been nominated for six Emmy Awards and won one in 2013), and even launched her own successful lingerie line, Heidi Klum Intimates.
Now the model is turning her attention to the design world again in a recently announced collaboration with the German supermarket brand, Lidl.

The brand, known in Germany for offering high-quality groceries and household items at the lowest possible prices, has previously stocked a wildly-popular clothing line and is looking to Klum to help channel that same sensibility into fashion at their U.S. locations. “We are incredibly enthusiastic to work with Heidi Klum,” said Boudewijn Tiktak, Lidl U.S.’s chief commercial officer. “She has designed a collection that truly reflects her experience as a trendsetter, and she put as much love in designing this collection as we do in all our products. At Lidl, we believe high quality fashion should be attainable for everyone and we look forward to sharing this collection with our customers later this year.”

Klum also commented, “Lidl is known for making quality products at affordable prices, and I’m proud to partner with them on this fashion collaboration. I had so much fun designing the pieces in this collection and can’t wait for you to see it. I hope you love it as much as I do!”

Lidl, which currently has more than 10,000 stores in 27 countries, officially opens the doors to their brand-new U.S. stores on June 15th, with Klum’s collection expected to launch this fall.
