Gwyneth Paltrow can be a polarizing celebrity presence. In one corner, there are people love her for her luxurious beauty tips and life advice. In the other corner are those who feel like Gwyneth is essentially peering at the proletariat from her Hollywood castle and asking why they can’t eat the $110 fruit cake they sell at the Grand Central Market if they’re hungry.

One thing both corners can meet in the middle on, however, is this uber empowering quote about being an unapologetic trailblazer in a world that asks women to apologize
for such things.

In an interview with Lena Dunham for Lenny Letter, Gwyneth Paltrow talks about what it’s like to be a woman who unabashedly enjoys many things and does them well, especially having grown up in a generation that was a little less accepting than people tend to be about independent women now.

We can definitely support Gwyneth in this. Go on and trail blaze, ladies. May the force of GOOP be with you.
