Baby gifts can be hard to settle on, especially if you don’t know the sex. Do you get little baby booties? A knitted blanket? A hairbrush, like Olivia Wilde? Well, those all work fine, but if you have a mind like Goldie Hawn, your baby gift has a lot more to do with the expecting mother’s vagina. Yes, you’re reading this right.
Hawn and her very pregnant daughter Kate Hudson stopped by The Ellen Show this week to talk to Ellen DeGeneres about family babies past and future, and let’s just file their story about Hudson’s delivery of her son Bing (who is now 7) under “things we didn’t expect to hear today.”
“I first brought her a magnolia, because that was…” Hawn started off saying. “Huge. She wanted me to think of my vagina as a magnolia flower,” Hudson interjected. “And I was like, ‘I never want to think of my vagina that big ever.’”
Not your average delivery room gift, that’s for sure. It might’ve been picked up in a rush on the way in, since Hawn was chilling out at the pool when Hudson first went into labor. “The best part of that was when mom called me in labor and said, ‘I’m about to take a swim and I was going to get a massage. How long do you think you’re going to be laboring?’” Hudson said. “And I was like, ‘I don’t know, mom!’ I’m like calling the nurse going, ‘Do you know how long I’m going to be laboring? My mom wants to swim.'” Obviously their sense of humor runs in the family.
