Many people get nervous while flying. And now Frances Bean Cobain has opened up about her harrowing experience on a plane last week. She was a passenger on board an Air France flight that experienced severe engine issues. One of the engines actually caught fire, necessitating an emergency landing.

It sounds so terrifying, and we’re just glad to hear that Frances is okay. She chose to talk about it on her own time, with a post on her Instagram account that detailed how she felt during and after the ordeal. She may come from rock royalty, but she sounds like she has her head on straight.

Her caption is more of an essay, with some very meaningful reflections on life and love included. She began with detailing the experience of boarding what should have been a normal flight.

This next part just sounds so scary — she watched the wing ignite!

Her story ends on a really hopeful note. We’re glad she decided to share with a bunch of strangers, because we found it inspiring.
