It’s that time of year again. Forbes has released their list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities (cue nausea and buyer’s remorse for that latte this morning). This year’s leader, to no one’s surprise, is none other than…*drumroll please*

TAYLOR SWIFT. Congrats, Tay!

The “Shake it Off” singer brought in $170 million, which is her best haul yet. OMG. Forbes explains, “The pop superstar smashed the Rolling Stones‘ North American touring record, grossing $200 million on the continent en route to quarter of a billion dollars in total for her 1989 World Tour. She also shills for brands including Diet Coke, Keds and Apple.”

Rounding out the top ten are:

One Direction ($110 million)
Author James Patterson ($95 million)
Dr. Phil McGraw ($88 million) and Cristiano Ronaldo ($88 million) tied for fourth
Kevin Hart ($87.5 million)
Howard Stern ($85 million)
Lionel Messi ($81.5 million)
Adele ($80.5 million)
Rush Limbaugh ($79 million)

So, what’s next on the docket for Ms. Swift?

“I have no idea,” Taylor told Vogue earlier this year, “This is the first time in ten years that I haven’t known. I just decided that after the past year, with all of the unbelievable things that happened . . . I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create something. I’m always going to be writing songs. The thing is, with me, I could very well come up with three things in the next two weeks and then jump back into the studio, and all of a sudden the next record is started. That’s an option, too.”

While we fully support Taylor taking a breather after this monster year, we absolutely cannot wait until she gets back in the studio. More music, please!
