She’s an actress and equal rights activist, and now Emma Watson might nab a new title this year. Tbh, we’re not a bit surprised. Yup, Watson may be able to add “highest paid actress” to her list of accomplishments, reported Moviefone. Beauty and the Beast has grossed $490 worldwide (!) — SO FAR. So, yes, it makes perfect sense that “Belle” will probably end up as the highest paid actress of 2017. Aside from getting $3 million to do the film, Watson will also get some of the movie’s revenue, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

So, assuming Beauty and the Beast continues to do well (and why wouldn’t it?!), when all is said and counted, money-wise, Watson could make over $15 million. Not bad for a 26-year-old, amirite?!

But guess what?! She’s held the “highest paid actress” title before, according to Moviefone.

If you think a certain Harry Potter movie had something to do with it back in 2010, you’re right. As you probably know, that’s when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 came out.

Pop quiz: What actress might Watson surpass this year, income-wise?

Yup, Jennifer Lawrence! She’s had the “highest paying actress” title since 2015 (read: that’s when The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 came out).

As both actresses continue to do more ahhhh-mazing movies, we’re sure it’ll be a close race, so to speak, to see who holds the “highest paid actress” title year after year. Meanwhile, we’re going to go see Beauty and the Beast — yes, again! #CantStopWontStop!
