We’re super happy to see that Dylan O’Brien is back in action after his horrible accident on the set of the latest installment of Maze Runner. We were obviously heartbroken to hear that one of our faves had been so badly injured, and things were made even worse when it seemed Dylan wasn’t well enough to return to set when planned. He’s definitely been in all of our thoughts. And now, we’re super happy to report that he’s back and more dedicated than ever.

The most difficult part of his recovery, he revealed in an interview with Vulture, was the psychological aspect to it — rather than physical.

Specific details about his accident are sparse, and he wants to keep it that way, which we totally respect! But, it was clearly no small thing. And we know he was in rough physical shape. So we totally understand how thinking about returning to that world would be difficult for him.

Lucky for Dylan, he had a great support system! His father, for instance, came with him when he returned to set. Dylan also gives major props to his personal trainer for helping him work through the most difficult part of getting back in the saddle. And as we said, it wasn’t the physical training.

With the help of supportive co-workers, trainers, and family, Dylan O’Brien recommitted to acting, and completed his part.

We totally would’ve understood if he needed to step back from the film, but we’re so looking forward to seeing him in it!

We’re super proud of Dylan O’Brien for pushing through the pain. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him!
