Drake has a big announcement for us, and we have to admit: it’s a little bit perplexing. According to Nate Jones over at Vulture, it appears that Drake is opening a nightclub in Houston to celebrate the local culture and music scene.

As Drake shared in his announcement this past Monday, the club will be called “The Ballet,” and will celebrate the “culture of dancing” in Houston.

He took care to clarify that The Ballet will not be “no strip club sh*t.” Yet he also seemed to imply that the club will exclusively feature female dancers. Hmmm.

Drake also posted about The Ballet on his Instagram account, where he encouraged people to “treat themselves” by coming to the club. He promises “women on pedestals” and we again have to beg the question: If we’re putting exclusively female dancers on pedestals, are we talking about a strip club here?

We guess it’s one of those things where we’ll just have to wait and see. There’s of course always a chance our initial suspicions could be proven wildly wrong and the club will truly be an awesome celebration of Houston’s incredibly vibrant arts and music scene. And if anyone could pull something like that off, it’s our super sweet and sensitive Drake.

Let’s hope so, guys.
