Drake Bell put his Twitter spat with Josh Peck down to just being cranky
After some rather public beef, Drake Bell has said his spat with Josh Peck was basically comes down to simple crankiness.
In case you missed it, former Drake and Josh co-stars recently had a falling out after it came to light that Josh Peck didn’t invite Drake Bell to his wedding. Bell took this pretty hard, taking to Twitter to share his upset about not being invited (and somehow John Stamos got involved, too). And while he later said that there were “no hard feelings” between the pair, it didn’t really appear that the two ever made up.
Now, in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bell has said he regrets getting publicly upset about what happened.
In a video interview, the 31-year-old spilled what had gone down.
“I’d been talking to [Peck], and he’s been telling me about the engagement,” Bell said during the Facebook Live video. “And then I saw on social media the wedding and I didn’t hear about it. So, it was just one of those things where it was just like, ‘You didn’t even tell me?! I had to find out on social media?’ And then you’re like, ‘You know what?! Fine!’ and then I’m like, ‘Wait, I probably shouldn’t have done that.’”
In fact, the actor and musician is aware that there was a better way to handle it all.
In fact, he revealed that he and Peck have spoken since the incident, which he put down to good old sibling rivalry.
“It is what it is, dude. I love the kid,” he said. “I would work with him until I’m 80 years, you know. I wanna make Grumpy Old Men with the guy. I wanna make The Odd Couple when we’re old, you know? So no hard feelings. It’s just when you’ve been so close to somebody for so long, I mean, there’s just certain things that you know, ‘Hey why’d you do that? C’mon man.'”
Indeed, it seems that this is such a non-issue at this point that Drake Bell would even be up for a Drake and Josh reunion.
“I would love to do it. I would love to,” he admitted. “I mean, I always say in this situation, I’m the John Lennon of the Beatles. If there’s time, if it’s in our schedules and it’s right, I would jump in it in a second.”
Meanwhile, during the FB Live video, Drake Bell also performed his new single, “Honest,” which is taken from his EP of the same name.
