Daisy Ridley listens to "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from "Mulan" to pump herself up for action sequences
Daisy Ridley — aka Rey aka the most charming and badass potential Jedi we’ve ever seen — is at it again. The stately actress sat down with Vogue for its “73 Questions” series, and the video is beyond charming.
“The Plaza hooked it up!” Daisy jokes, leading the camera into an amazing hotel suite. Some of the most heartwarming things we learned? Daisy’s in New York City for a friend’s wedding. She can rattle off her list of nicknames as easily as you can recite the alphabet. (Also, the nicknames are incredible. Dazzle! The Baby!)
Daisy Ridley also describes Dame Judi Dench as “fucking amazing.”
And we don’t have any doubts about that.
Her favorite color is gray, which she knows sounds kind of depressing. She can still rock the Spice Girls’ “Girl Power” pose, and wolf whistle like an old-timey cartoon character. Her go-to karaoke song is “Unbreak My Heart” by Toni Braxton. And the song she plays to get pumped up for an action sequence is “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan.
So basically, we want to hang out with the Star Wars actress more than ever before.
But even after this video, there are plenty of questions we’d still love to ask Daisy. Like, anything and everything about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which she touched on briefly in the interview. She said that she’d love a droid to make her tea every morning, and she delivered her best Wookie impression. She even revealed “everything that happens” in The Last Jedi, but that was bleeped out.
Sigh, guess we’ll have to wait until December 15th to find out about that last one!
