Over the weekend, Ciara and husband Russell Wilson welcomed their baby girl into the world. Although the new mom did all of the hard work, Ciara’s husband wrote the sweetest message to their daughter, picking up his daddy duties right away.

The Seattle Seahawks quarterback wrote on Instagram, “Dear Sienna Princess Wilson, No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm. We Love You.” He signed it “Daddy and Mommy,” along with Sienna’s stats, staying true to his athletic (and proud father) roots. According to his social media post, Sienna was born at 7:03 p.m. on Friday evening and came in at 7 lbs 13 oz.

This is Ciara and Wilson’s first baby together, though Ciara has another child, son Future Zahir Wilburn, who she co-parents with her ex, rapper Future. Ciara and Wilson married last summer and announced Sienna’s arrival in October — on Ciara’s birthday, which is like the best gift of all if you want kids.

Ciara announced her pregnancy on Instagram, captioning a photo of herself and her husband together, “On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family.. and I’m excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give,” and closed it up with an emoji baby. Now that she’s here, the family seems happier than ever.

Ciara’s been very candid about her relationship with both her ex and Wilson. This spring, the R&B singer told Harper’s Bazaar that she and Wilson were each other’s cheerleaders. It sounds like the same sort of philosophy that inspired Wilson’s ride-or-die message to baby Sienna.

Ciara said of relationships:

Sienna’s lucky to come into this world with so much love. Talk about #squadgoals.
