Chris Pratt and John Krasinski did the "Murph Challenge" for Memorial Day, and it looks really hard
Two of everyone’s favorite adorkable celebs, Chris Pratt and John Krasinski, happened to both be in the U.K. for Memorial Day, and it looks like they celebrated it the right way. Although it looks absolutely killer, Chris Pratt and John Krasinski did a “Murph Challenge” for Memorial Day, and they can barely even breathe after honoring fallen service members in the most hardcore way.
The Murph Challenge is an annual fundraiser for the LT. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation. You can register online and then post your time on the national leaderboard. After, you can purchase a t-shirt to show off the fact that you’re a breast when it comes to physical fitness. Obviously, all proceeds go to the foundation, which honors the fallen Navy SEAL’s legacy by providing scholarships.
The workout is not easy. It consists of running one mile, doing 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats, and then running another mile. You’re supposed to do it in body armor or a 20 lb. vest, just like the badass SEALS would have to. Pratt and Krasinski looked like they were just in t-shirts, but let’s pretend they had some gear on them when they ran.
In their first video, the two can barely speak. Pratt starts by saying, “My hands are shaking,” after the intense workout.
The Murph Challenge got the best of Chris Pratt and John Krasinski.
In the second video, the two actors urge their fans to complete the challenge and one of the “Forged” t-shirts to show off their hard work. Luckily, the two guys aren’t judging if you don’t think you can crack the physical fitness challenge. Krasinski says fans can also “just take a minute to remember” fallen military service members, “since that’s what today’s all about.” Fair enough.
The Murph Challenge is super hardcore and just one way to celebrate Memorial Day and thank those in the military who make “the ultimate sacrifice,” as Pratt puts it. Just remember to hydrate for those air squats.
