Chris Pine is coming to the small screen, and even better, he's going to play a Kennedy
There’s so much good wrapped up in this announcement, we hardly know where to start. For one, Chris Pine will star in a new Hulu series. For another, it’s a drama about Robert F. Kennedy. And for YET ANOTHER, it’s headed up by Todd Kessler, aka one of the folks behind The Good Wife. So not only is it a political drama (OUR FAVE) starring ONE OF OUR FAVES, but it’s headed up by somebody we already know we can trust to make super compelling television.
If you need something to stave off your ridiculous levels of anticipation, the series is based on Larry Tye’s bestselling biography, Bobby Kennedy: The Making of a Liberal Icon.
There have been so many great adaptations of books into TV shows lately, and finding out about another just adds to our excitement. Plus, it’s always nice to be able to study up before a show airs.
The adaptation won’t just star Chris Pine — he’s also going to be executive producing. It’s super common for an actor at his level to claim a producing credit when moving into television, but we’re curious to see what his creative input looks like.
But also, hey. Setting aside all the other factors, this means we get to look at Chris Pine.
Not to be super shallow, but let’s take a minute to be super shallow.
More of this on our TV screens is…fine? We’ll take it, if we have to, we GUESS.
We’re excited about the content of this show and the team behind it, but yeah. We’re also really excited about his face on our TV screen, for hours. #blessed
