Dance movies aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. Take Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s daughter, for instance, who watched Step Up for the first time and hated it. So apparently, the apple falls far from the dancing tree.

As you are probably well aware, Channing and Jenna met while filming Step Up. They bonded over their love of dance, and we assume, their mutual hotness. But their four-year-old daughter Everly isn’t easily impressed, because she was not into the movie that brought her parents together — even though it’s probably the reason she exists.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, Channing said that he and Jenna finally decided to show Everly their movie.

They thought she might like it because of all the dancing. But nope.

Everly tried watching the movie for another 10 seconds, which TBH, is a reasonable amount of time to decide whether or not you’re into something. She decided that she definitely wanted to watch a “real movie.”

To prove that Everly is just being defiant, Channing has a sneaky plan of voicing a character in an animated film but not telling Everly he’s in it until after she sees it and loves it. We’re definitely not mad about that plan.
