As tributes continue to pour in to the late, great, magnificent Carrie Fisher, her sisters, Joely and Tricia Fisher, have broken their silence and expressed their profound devastation over Carrie’s untimely death.

Posting on Twitter yesterday a few hours after the announcement was made that Carrie, 60, had died from complications following a heart attack days earlier, Joely and Tricia shared candid photos of themselves with their half-sister (they’re the daughters of Carrie’s dad, Eddie Fisher, and his second wife, Connie Stevens) along with messages of deep sadness.

Their devastation is truly palpable.

Carrie’s mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, shared her own tribute to her daughter on Facebook yesterday, writing, “Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother [sic].”

Carrie, who famously played Princess Leia in the Star Wars films and wrote several candid, wry books, including her recent memoir The Princess Diarist, died in Los Angeles after suffering a heart attack on a flight from London to L.A. on December 23rd.

We’re all completely devastated by the news and are mourning Carrie’s death alongside her fans, colleagues, and family members. Your presence, General Organa, will be missed in every galaxy.
