Even though the tragic and sudden death of Steve Irwin (AKA the Crocodile Hunter) still breaks our hearts, his memory has been kept alive by his daughter Bindi, who shares her father’s passion for wildlife conservation and his zest for life.

She posted an emotional tribute to him on her eighteenth birthday this year, and now she’s paying tribute to him again on the 10th anniversary of his passing.

Bindi posted this photo on Instagram of Steve proudly holding her up when she was a baby, and it’s one of the sweetest things we’ve ever seen.

The caption reads, “You’ll be my hero for my entire existence. I love you more than words can describe” and full disclosure, we just shed a few tears.

Bindi’s mom Terri also took to social media on Father’s Day (in Australia) to share a photo of Steve and the kids (with a reptile, of course!).

While it’s obvious that we miss Steve just like the rest of the world, we’re comforted by the fact that his mission to save the animals is being continued by his family.

And also, by the fact that they frequently post about him, honoring the incredible man he was.

We miss you, Steve. Still trying to re-create your unique sense of humor.
