Bella Hadid opened up about religion and why she's "proud to be a Muslim"
We live in confusing, tense, and sometimes scary times, so it’s more important than ever that we have open and intelligent dialogue about key issues. In the latest issue of Net-A-Porter’s Porter magazine, Bella Hadid reflects on her Muslim upbringing and reveals why religion is such an important facet of her life.
We love that Hadid stands up for what she believes in, and it’s a reminder that everyone should be proud of their heritage. Our religion and belief systems contribute to who we are, and we’re all about celebrating family history with the ones we hold near and dear.
In the interview Hadid also talks about her battle with Lyme Disease, which she continues to raise awareness about in order to help others struggling with the condition. AND she opened up about being single — in the most refreshing way possible.
Keep it up, Bella! These conversations are important, and using your public platform to raise awareness about everything from culture, to religion, to health, to just being cool with who you are is both helpful and important. So, thank you!
