So many celebrities have posted tributes to David Cassidy
Today we learned that ’70s teen idol David Cassidy died at the age of 67. According to his publicist, Cassidy passed peacefully while surrounded by family yesterday, November 21st. Many celebrities who knew and loved Cassidy have taken to Twitter to share their condolences and remember a man who meant so much to so many people.
Cassidy rose to fame playing Keith Partridge, the eldest sibling and lead singer of The Partridge Family from 1970 to 1974. In 1970, the band’s song “I Think I Love You” landed in the Billboard No. 1 spot and sold over 5 million copies.
CNN reported that earlier this year Cassidy opened up about being in the early stages of dementia. The disease affects a person’s ability to perform daily activities and impairs cognitive function. As reported by CNN, Cassidy ultimately died from organ failure, which can happen to patients in an advanced stage of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Many celebrities who grew up swooning over Cassidy on The Partridge Family, or respected him as a fellow member of the music and television industry, are remembering him today on Twitter.
Rest In Peace, David Cassidy.
