Here’s How J.Lo, Reese Witherspoon, and Other Celebs Celebrated Labor Day Weekend

One good thing that’s come out of quarantine is that we’ve been getting a lot more celebrities-at-home content to consume—and Labor Day Weekend was a particular goldmine. While some of our favorite celebs may not have typical 9-to-5 jobs to break from, many still took the weekend to spend more quality time with their families and friends, and they brought us in on the fun by posting about it all on social media.

If your long weekend was sub-par or non-existent, dive into a holiday weekend with the stars below. The celebs brought us family photos, baby bumps, twerking (courtesy of Lizzo, of course), TikTok dances, and more.

Jennifer Lopez

J.Lo shared a knockout family photo of her, her husband, and her kids posing around (and on!) a tree all dressed in white. “Wishing everyone Peace and Love❤️ Happy Labor Day!” she wrote.

Reese Witherspoon

Supermom Reese Witherspoon spent the weekend doing an outdoor art class with her son, Deacon, and she shared an image of their red-and-orange-painted airplane. “I’m not gonna throw around the word masterpiece, but we are considering taking commissions,” she wrote. “*serious inquiries only.”

Lizzo

Always on-brand, Lizzo spent Labor Day Weekend twerking—only this time she came across her “worst nightmare.” In a video shared to Instagram, Lizzo is tormented by a bee on her back mid-twerk. “I slowed it down so y’all can see..” she wrote. “I can still feel him on my back.” In a comment Lizzo gave a shoutout to her friend and “MVP” @theshelbyswain who knocked the bee off her back with her hat.

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen, who’s pregnant with her third baby, shared an adorable video of Luna helping out with her ultrasound. “dr Luna!” she wrote. “she mainly wants to work on animals but she feels like I’m pretty similar these days.”

Teigen also shared an image of her and Dr. Luna sporting some “super realistic” Disney princess face masks.

Emma Roberts

Like Teigen, Emma Roberts is also expecting, and the Scream Queens star showed off her pregnant stomach in the cutest daisy-print, one-piece swimsuit on Labor Day.

Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union “got up and got after it” on Labor Day. The actress and FitOn App partner shared a photo to her Instagram Stories of her in a matching workout set, pointing to the bright red sun and writing that she was “greeted by this natural beauty.”

Jennifer Garner

The unfortunate thing about Labor Day is that it signals that summer is almost at its end, but Jennifer Garner took a moment this weekend to pay tribute to the “gifts and lessons” that the season brought and ask for blessings in the months ahead. “Bless teachers, faculty and administrators as they guide us through this big question mark of a school year,” she wrote. “Bless the parents trying to make it all work. And the children who are learning to make the best of things in ways we couldn’t have predicted.”

Issa Rae

If you were looking for another “celebs—they’re just like us!” moment, you won’t find it here with Issa Rae’s glamorous Bermuda trip reel, but we’re happy for the Insecure star nonetheless. Plus, she took the opportunity to throw some shade on the USA, writing, “I’ve been afraid to travel, but it was so refreshing to be in a country that values the health of its citizens,” she wrote. “We had to take a test before we got on the plane, then again at the airport when we landed, and then quarantine until we got our results.”

Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, and Madelaine Petsch

Riverdale stars Camila Mendes, Lili Reinhart, and Madelaine Petsch, (AKA Lamila Petschart), appear to have spent the long weekend together, working on adding more content to their brilliant joint TikTok account @blondebrunetteredhead. Enjoy Mendes and Reinhart’s dance to “Fergalicious” above.

Zendaya

To round out the Labor Day Weekend, Zendaya blessed us with this triad of selfies—and immediately went viral, trending on Twitter, just because of her glow. She is what’s right with the world.
