Here’s how Gabrielle Union, Drake, Mindy Kaling, and other celebs celebrated Father’s Day
In the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Father’s Day might have looked different for you this year. With many public spaces still closed, maybe you ditched the typical Father’s Day brunch, or perhaps social distancing measures prevented you from spending any time with your dad at all. However, one thing the coronavirus cannot stop you from doing is showing your dad some love on social media—and tons of celebs opted for this virtual show of appreciation this Father’s Day.
On Sunday, June 21st, countless celebs posted family photos, personal videos, and heartfelt messages shouting out the dads in their lives—whether that was their own father, their co-parent, partner, or father figure. We always love getting a sneak peek into celebs’ personal lives, and these meaningful Father’s Day posts gave us a glimpse of their hearts. From posting throwback photos to honoring the dads they’ve lost, see how celebrities celebrated Father’s Day 2020.

We’ll never say no to pictures of Luna and Miles, and Chrissy Teigen blessed our timelines with a thread of sweet pictures of these kiddos with their dad, John Legend. The resemblance between Miles and his dad is uncanny, and Legend’s taco hat is the kicker that makes this Father’s Day post too cute to handle.
Mindy Kaling

Although Mindy Kaling refrained from posting a photo of her dad because he’s “too shy”, she made us cry with her own words. Kaling described how loyal and loving her dad has been to her daughter Katherine, even through the coronavirus pandemic when he couldn’t physically see her.
“For three months he met her outside a glass door in his mask and gloves at my house and talked to her. He would drop off homemade puzzles and Indian food,” Kaling wrote. Read the whole post for yourself, and try not to shed a tear.
Gabrielle Union

Leave it to Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter Kaavia to put our dancing to shame on Father’s Day. The 1-year-old broke it down to “Savage” by Meghan Thee Stallion poolside, floaties and all. Union posted the video of her daughter with the caption, “Happy Father’s Day. Turn Up!! @kaaviajames man…” We’ll be watching this for inspo before we record our next TikTok dance challenge.
She also posted a family photo of the three of them together to her Story.
Drake

Dad Drake posted a sweet photo of his 2-year-old son, Adonis, with the caption,”Happy Fathers Day to all the real g’z handling business.” We’re drooling over those thick curls and Adonis’s sleepy face.
Michelle Obama

The Obamas are pros at posting meaningful tributes to each other on Instagram, and Father’s Day was no different this year. Michelle Obama wrote a sweet message to Barack that made us tear up, TBH.
“Thank you for the way you love our girls—and all the young people in this country, no matter who they are or where they come from. We feel your warmth and generosity today and everyday,” she wrote.
Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff went all out for her Father’s Day tribute to husband Matthew Koma by creating a two-minute long video filled with fun family pics. Koma and Duff have one daughter, Banks, together, along with Duff’s son Luca from a previous marriage. In the video, we see tons of sweet photos of Koma with Banks, Luca, and Duff.
“Thank you for all that you do for us and how you without a doubt, unselfishly always put us first! Love raising babies with you,” the Lizzie McGuire star wrote.
Cardi B

We already knew Cardi B and Offset’s one-year-old daughter Kulture was ridiculously adorable, but the video Cardi posted for Father’s Day is truly sending us into cuteness overload. In the video, Offset sleeps while Kulture says “papa” and “mama” and plays with his braids. We cannot handle this sweetness.
Ashley Graham

New mom Ashley Graham helped husband Justin Ervin celebrate his first Father’s Day with a sweet picture of him holding up their son Isaac. She wrote a sweet caption that concluded with, “Isaac and I love you to the moon and back.”
Zoë Kravitz

Lenny and Zoë Kravitz are one of our favorite father-daughter duos, and yesterday, Zoë shared a throwback pic of the pair that has us in our feels. In the photo, Zoë looks to be around ten years old, and she and Lenny are laughing about something on the video camera she’s holding. The happy photo looks straight out of a magazine.
Lana Condor

To All the Boys star Lana Condor posted a meaningful tribute to both of her parents for Father’s Day, thanking them for adopting her and her brother.
“My dad and mom went through hell and back to find us and make us a family. I’m forever, deeply, fiercely grateful,” Condor wrote.
