We see it all the time: celebrities cast in heroic roles, carrying out superhuman acts and saving the day. Here are a batch celebs proving that the good deeds aren’t only when they’re behind the camera.
John Malkovich was reported by The Huffington Post to have attended to a bleeding man on the street in Toronto in June. The man cut open his throat and nearby Malkovich applied pressure until the ambulance arrived.

Earlier this year, Justin Bieber spent Valentine’s Day with 6-year-old Avalanna and her family. Avalanna, who preferred the moniker Mrs Justin Bieber, was diagnosed with extremely severe and very rare brain cancer. Bieber highlighted her short life with a day to remember.

In April, a good deed fell right into Patrick Dempsey’s lap! A teenager lost control of his car, which spiraled right into McDreamy’s yard. Dempsey pried the victim out of his car to safety with no serious injuries. Saving lives, even outside of Seattle Grace Hospital.

In my mind, the classic celebrity do-gooders are Brangelina. The two travel the world and donate both their money and their time. Visiting Haiti earthquake victims, building homes in New Orleans and donating funds to the campaign to fight for marriage equality – this pair really does it all.

50 Cent reached out to a family in his hometown of New York and paid for their young daughter’s funeral. She was tragically shot and killed on a public bus. He was so upset by the event and decided to help out. 50 Cent is stereotyped as a “bad boy,” but proves there’s a lot more than meets the eye.
