Instagram’s Most Famous Cat Couple Have an Announcement

The most important news of the day: Instagram’s most adorable cat couple (Roku and Hachi, of Thailand) have officially announced the birth of their first litter of kittens. The itty-bitty Scottish Folds are perhaps EVEN CUTER than their celebrity parents. Take a look-see:

Roku first earned acclaim when his human attendants (the photographer SixtySix and his partner, Pek) started branding him the most adorable cat on the Internet. Approximately 360,000 Instagrammers quickly took the bait. Hachi was added to the family mix less than a year ago, and despite reports that both cats had a difficult social adjustment period, a romance soon bloomed.

The rest, as they say, is history.

These days, Roku’s scarcely humble (his Instagram bio brags that he “eats rainbows and poops butterflies”) but his be-yoo-tiful cat-wife Hachi may help keep his ego in check.

So let us congratulate Hachi and Roku! Let’s hope the offspring may know all the love and attention that the Internet has (deservedly) lavished on Mom and Dad!

In true Scottish Fold fashion, it will take up to eight weeks to determine if the kittens will have folded ears like Roku, or straight ears, like Hachi. In the meantime, Pek and SixtySix have planned to refrain from naming the newbies.
