Celebrity Besties Who Love Each Other Both On And Off Screen

Who wouldn’t embrace the opportunity to work alongside their bestie? We love the fact that so many of our favorite talents are chummy off camera, as well. Here are just a few of our favorite celebrity best friends, and a few of our favorite collaborations they’ve worked on together.

Michelle Williams and Busy Phillips

These two ladies are absolutely adorable, and proved that at least one relationship powered through from Capeside. Michelle even brought Busy as a date to the 2012 Academy Awards, after she was nominated for My Week With Marilyn.

While Dawson’s Creek wrapped eons ago, they constantly talk about new projects that they can work on together in the future.

“We talk about it all the time,” Busy said in an interview with MSN. “My husband and his writing partner are sort of constantly thinking of ideas for us. We would love to do some sort of film together, and Harvey Weinstein says that he’s ready to do it! But I don’t know what it would be. We haven’t figured it out yet. We don’t talk about work all the time, but we know that it would be super fun to spend three months together working on something. So yeah, we hope so.”

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly

Will and John were friends long before teaming up together for Talladega Nights, and their chemistry helped make their following films a huge success. In April, it was announced that the power duo were in talks to reteam on the Sony comedy Border Guards, which would be directed by fellow buddy Adam McKay.

“We just really hit it off,” John said in an interview with Metro. “I feel like I’ve known him since we were kids. There are a lot of comedians who are very dark and competitive but he’s not like that at all. He’s just a very decent guy.”

Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox

We love these funny friends, and love the fact that they seem to think of each other when their careers are involved. While we probably won’t be getting a Friends reunion anytime soon, the two reunited on the show Dirt, where they even shared a kiss.

“There’s absolutely no judgment in Court,” Aniston told More Magazine. “You’ll never feel scolded. She’s extremely fair, ridiculously loyal and fiercely loving.”

Zach Braff & Donald Faison

Zach recently crashed a Reddit AMA that Donald took part it, which made redditors love the pair even more. After all, Donald is Zach’s “chocolate bear,” and their chemistry on set for Scrubs was tough to match.

Donald and Zach even have their own joint youtube account, and pleased fans with this wonderful rendition of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” back in 2011. The two are set to appear in Wish I Was Here, which was funded through a Kickstarter campaign that Zach started up last year.

Tina Fey & Amy Poehler

Of course we had to include the almighty Amy and Tina. While these two ladies are hilarious on their own, they’re a force to be reckoned with when they team up. The two shared the Update desk on SNL for a few seasons and had (amazing) roles in Mean Girls before going on to film Baby Mama in 2008. Also – the Golden Globes. They helped make the Golden Globes way, way more entertaining.

You can see them next in The Nest, which revolves about two 30-something sisters who come home to find their parents’ house has been put up for sale, and then spend a last wild weekend together. The amazing Paula Pell wrote the screenplay, so we already know it’ll be a must-see comedy.

Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake

Jmmy became so smitten with Justin that he dedicated full weeks of his show to his best friend while he was still hosting Late Night. The two actually met in 2002, during the MTV Movie Awards that featured Jimmy as a host and Justin as a (gasp!) solo artist for the first time in history.

“I remember talking backstage during those VMAs. I was totally nervous and you were nervous and we both ended up having good night,” Jimmy said to GQ. “We’re good luck to each other — like each other’s rabbit foots.” How cute are they?

It seems like whenever Jimmy makes a re-appearance on SNL, Justin isn’t far behind him – or vice versa. The two have done six “Barry Gibb Talk Show” sketches together, the first which aired back in 2003.

Eva Longoria and Mario Lopez

These two have been tightknit for awhile now. Not only did Eva feel comfortable opening up to Mario about her divorce to Tony Parker on Extra, but she’s actually the godmother to Mario’s little girl, Gia. “Eva loves Gia, and she’s going to be a great mom herself whenever that day comes,” Mario said to Latina. Super sweet.

The two have hosted events together, including the ALMA Awards, which celebrates accomplished Latino celebrities.

Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis

Is anyone else excited about Horrible Bosses 2? You might also be interested in hearing about cop comedy One Night On The Hudson, which is currently in development. Both films star the incredibly talented Charlie and Jason, who are pretty close even when the cameras stop rolling.

“Look, I love that guy to death,” Charlie said to The Huffington Post. “And for some reason, I think we just really respect each other and have maybe a very similar sense of what we find funny. And I’ve absolutely loved working with him in everything that we’ve worked in… I really hope that I can do many, many movies with that guy. I mean, he’s really one of my favorite guys to work with.”

Mindy Kaling and Ellie Kemper – And B.J. Novak, As Well

Because friendship doesn’t always come in pairs! One of the greatest (yet most random) friendships on The Office blossomed between Kelly Kapoor and Erin Hannon – after all, they made up the group Subtle Sexuality, which even had their own music videos, featuring Ryan “Fire Guy” Howard.

Good luck getting “Girl Next Door” out of your head for the remainder of the day, while you eat a ham sandwich alone in your office nook.

Both Ellie and B.J. have made appearances on The Mindy Project – it’s just a shame that Ellie’s busy schedule kept her from shooting more.

“I would like nothing more than to work with Ellie Kemper for the rest of my life,” Mindy said to Hypable. “I love her, she’s so fun to work with, she’s so naturally funny. Ellie, of course, she’s in a pilot at NBC and she’s so busy with various projects and things that I don’t know how possible that would be, there’s just a complete open-door policy for whenever she wanted to do anything on the show. I love her. She’s one of my closest friends and I would love to use her as much as I can.”

You don’t have to search too hard to figure out the friendship between Mindy and B.J. The two have even been accused of dating, yet B.J. swears that it’s only an intense friendship that’s developed throughout the years. “We were each other’s best friends,” he clarified to E! “We were inseparable and not talking to each other, often on the same day. And people didn’t know, if she was gone, they would ask me where she was, and vice versa. We were like E.T. and Elliott a little bit.”
