Celeb-adored handbag line Mansur Gavriel is branching out into clothes

Get ready to covet dreamy minimalist fashions, because celeb favorite handbag and shoe brand Mansur Gavriel is set to release its first clothing collection!

If you count Solange Knowles, Sienna Miller, Margot Robbie, or Emma Stone among your style icons, then you’re probably familiar with the beloved accessory brand. After its launch in 2013, the company’s simple, stylish bucket bag became an instant must-have, generating long wait lists and racking up celebrity fans.

Then, in 2015, designers Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel added shoes their line, which also proved to be an instant hit. The company’s practical slides, sandals, and ’80s-inspired heels found their way onto the feet of A-listers and regular women everywhere, adding polish and style to outfits across the style spectrum.

Now, the company is set to add clothing to its line. And in even more exciting news, Mansur Gavriel will show its ready-tow-wear Fall/Winter 2017 collection in September — rather than next month at New York Fashion Week — and make the line available immediately to consumers, following the “see now, buy now” model that’s been sweeping the fashion industry.

“Creatively, we were always ready,” said brand co-founder Rachel Mansur in an interview with Business of Fashion. “We had such fast growth with the bags that we felt that we needed to be operationally prepared. Now the time is right.”

While the brand gets its ducks in a row for the fall launch, it will keep its New York pop-up shop open, allowing consumers to shop its Spring 2017 collection for four weeks in February.

As for that clothing line: Start saving now, because if MG’s previous work is any indication, its ready-to-wear offerings will be flawless.
